The 250 GT berlinetta Lusso was not around long by Ferrari road car standards– only 18 months between early 1963 and mid 1964 with exactly 350 cars built, but it proved to be a both significant car and one regarded with enormous attention by Ferrari Cognoscenti. Many of the latter would argue that the Berlinetta Lusso is well up there with the prettiest of the Ferraris, but it has to be regarded too as the last flowering of the long running 250 dynasty and the first seed of a new generation.
