1952 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith

Introduced in 1905, the Rolls Royce  symbol carries the founders' initials, R for Henry Royce and R for the C. S. Rolls. In 1903, Henry Royce, a manufacturer of electrical cranes, built a car for private use. The result was good.

In the same year he joined Royce to be responsible for sales. Again, success.

With an ongoing  passion for flying, Rolls was killed in an air competition July 11, 1919 at Bournemouth.  Irony has the remains of his aircraft transported by a Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

Sir Henry Royce died in 1933.  The tradition, cars and logo carry on.
