1954 Chevrolet Corvette

The Harley Earl designed exterior embraces many racing car characteristics and introduces fibre glass. It has very identifable mesh stone guards over the headlights and toothy grill. The 2-seater has a soft top and side curtains. It was not an early best seller. In 1955, a V8 engine was introduced. It evolved quickly into America's sensational looking raw muscle car under the tutelage of Ed Cole and Zora Arkus-Duntov. It is the only American sportscar that has been in continuous production since introduction.
